I’m Paul, a photographer based in the Northern Rivers, Australia. I work with couples who want their wedding documented in a natural, honest way, focused on real moments, quiet connections, and the energy of the day as it unfolds.
My background in photography has taken me across a range of environments, including long-form travel work in places like Nepal. That experience shaped how I see and work, learning to observe rather than interrupt, and to look for moments that feel real rather than staged.
On a wedding day, I keep things simple. I don’t over-direct or over-complicate things. I focus on letting the day unfold naturally while documenting both the key moments and the quieter in-between ones with care.

How I work
Weddings move quickly, and no two days are ever the same. My approach is simple. I stay present, aware, and focused on what’s naturally happening.
I don’t rely on heavy direction or staged moments. Instead, I focus on understanding the flow of the day so I can anticipate moments as they unfold. The small interactions, the quiet in-between scenes, and the energy that often goes unnoticed.
When direction is needed, I keep it minimal and natural so nothing feels forced or awkward. The goal is always the same, to create images that feel honest and that take you back to the day as it actually felt.
You don’t need to think about the photography. I take care of that so you can stay in the moment.
How it feels
Paul was a breeze to work with, and we were delighted with the photos!
He was able to capture some great shots of the reception venue, genuine and touching moments from all the attendants to our wedding, and some beautiful pictures of my partner and I. He also made us feel super confident since we’re not used to having our pictures taken.
